Establishment of St. Francis Girls Suwerwa
Founded under Catholic Church sponsorship in Trans-Nzoia East Sub-County, the school was birthed through community vision and local parish partnerships to bridge the critical gap in quality, values-based secondary education for girls in rural Cherangany.
Expansion to Full Boarding Facility
To protect learning time and shield learners from long, strenuous daily commutes, the school transformed into a full boarding institution. Modern multi-stream dormitories, modern science laboratories, a central dining hall, and a dedicated library were erected through public-private partnerships, parent fundraising, and government capitation.
Transition to St. Francis Girls Senior Suwerwa (C3)
Under the leadership of Chief Principal Alice K. Mutai and following the national Competency-Based Education (CBC) curriculum transition, the institution officially transitioned into St. Francis Girls Senior Suwerwa, serving Grades 10, 11, and 12 across specialized career pathways in STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts & Sports Science.
